Hello Contest Season: experienceyorkregion.com is gearing up for contests, contests and more contests. Starting next week, we’re giving away a pair of tickets to more than half a dozen shows at the Flato Markham Theatre, including Tom Cochrane, above, and below, from left, The Tenors, comedian Jeremy Hotz, The Peking Acrobats and Gowan. We’re also bringing back our favourite contest – The 12 Days of Giving – in mid-December.
Ah, the last few days of summer.
A time to reflect on the fun and adventures had before heading back to school or back to work. Summer in York Region is filled with great things to do – from watersports and hiking to checking out art galleries and the many fine farmers’ markets.
But, alas, nothing last forever and when summer finishes, experienceyorkregion.com launches Contest Season – not an official season but one everyone looks forward to.
Starting next week, experienceyorkregion.com kicks off four months of contests – we’re giving away a pair of tickets to each of the following performances at The Flato Markham Theatre: Tom Cochrane (Sept. 14), The Tenors (Oct. 1), The Vienna Boys Choir (Oct. 13), comedian Jeremy Hotz (Oct. 28), The Peking Acrobats (Oct. 29), Michael Kaeshammer (Nov. 24), Classic Albums Live – Supertramp: Breakfast in America (Dec. 2) and Gowan (Dec. 16).
In mid-December we’re bringing back the Annual 12 Days of Giving.
Just like last year, we’re going to give away $100 gift certificates to 12 of York Region’s most popular and highly recommended restaurants.
And, along the way, just to keep things fun and exciting, we’re going to work with our many arts, culture and tourism partners to bring you contests that not only offer great prizes but also fantastic experiences.
