The York Region Arts Council has received support to create The Portal – an online space in support of arts, culture, and artists!
YRAC wants to hear from you! Over the next nine months YRAC will be working to create The Portal – an online space in support of arts, culture, and artists!
The Portal will address sectoral-wide challenges identified in YRAC’s Creative State of York Region report. The report identifies challenges including:
York Region Arts & Culture Sector is not functioning as a cohesive sector
The sector lacks or has limited marketing and outreach resources to reach markets
The sector lacks connectivity for community resource sharing
By creating the Portal, YRAC will address these challenges in a digital way, supporting the overall sector’s shift to a more digital world while visualizing & mapping arts activity throughout York Region.
In order to create this tool, YRAC needs to hear from you!
YRAC will present their initial ideas regarding what the Portal could be and then open the floor to hear from you about:
What challenges you’re facing in art making?
What online tools would be helpful to you?
What ideas you like or don’t like?
What are the most important pieces to you?
