From water to land, from up high to down on the ground, there is something for everyone to get active, try out or practice past skills. The ROC

A premier sports centre right by Lake Simcoe, The ROC (Recreational Outdoor Campus) offers a multitude of sports, activities, and events all year around. For the summer months, guests can try their hand at the rock climbing wall, low ropes, high ropes, and full challenge course. It also offers lush walking trails through the forest, a bike park, baseball diamonds, volleyball, and tennis courts. Heating up from all these fun activities and looking for a place to cool down? Cardinal Golf Club

The Cardinal Golf Club has always had a prestigious reputation throughout the GTA, but they have been able to broaden that reputation nationally by becoming the largest golf facility in Canada from 2009. There are a variety of courses to take part in for the both the avid and the casual golfer, including three 18-hole championship courses, an 18-hole executive course, an 18-hole mini putt course and a driving range. If classic golf isn’t your thing, Cardinal also offers footgolf! Combining soccer and golf, this sport has emerged onto the scene in the last few years and offers a fun new twist to two very different beloved sports!
Spray Lake Water Sports and Activity Centre

Situated on a private freshwater lake, this activity centre provides a world-class watersport experience right in York Region’s backyard! Catering to all ages and abilities, their professional team of staff help run waterskiing and wakeboarding activities, as well as other experiences like stand-up paddle boarding, beach volleyball, nature hikes, kids summer camps, and much more. A perfect place this summer to get out, cool down, learn some new skills, or refine some old ones.
Of Rock and Chalk

Need a break from the outside heat, but still want to get some exercise in and have fun? York Region’s premier climbing gym, Of Rock and Chalk, is the perfect place for you to go! They offer over 46 routes, with heights ranging from 10 to 37 feet, as well as bouldering areas for those who are up for more of a challenge. With no age restrictions, there is plenty of fun to be had for the whole family at Of Rock and Chalk.
Thornhill Outdoor Pool

Just keep swimming! In the summer, we think everyone should get out to a local outdoor pool and seize the chance to swim outdoors before the cold weather approaches again. The Thornhill Outdoor Pool is a perfect place for to do just that. With recreational, aqua fitness, parent & tot, and length swim times, there is something for everyone. It is a great opportunity to spend some family time together, get some physical exercise, cool down, and just have fun all around.
The Wave Pool

It may be open all year around, but consider taking the time this summer to visit the only wave pool in the GTA. This is not just your regular pool; here you will be treated with thrilling waves providing a truly unique indoor swimming experience, as well as a 100 ft. water slide! Rent a bike or bring your own to the largest indoor bike park in Canada, with over 100,000 square feet of quarter and half pipes, rails, steps, resi jumps, skinnies, cross country style trails, a foam pit, and much more.
