Family Day has morphed into Family Weekend in Aurora.
With a full slate of virtual and in-person activities scheduled to go beginning Friday, Feb. 18, Aurora’s 2022 Arctic Adventure promises to offer something for everyone.
Friday, February 18
Family Trivia Night
Aurora’s Arctic Adventure Virtual Trivia night – a virtual experience using zoom. Enjoy games such as Family Jeopardy, Card Bingo and more! All you need is a standard deck of cards. This game night is appropriate for all ages.

Painting and Writing Night
This evening is hosted by the Aurora Black Community in collaboration with the Town of Aurora and Neila Pacheco from the Aurora Film Circuit. If you’re ready for an innovative, creative, inspirational night of Painting & Writing, then this is for you! This interactive and creative Black History Month Paint & Write Night is intended for people 16+. A movie or documentary will be selected for participants to watch at the night of the event in order to elicit their inspiration to produce a painting or a poem. Participants will be joined by artist Judy Sherman, and a poet Greg Frankson to assist with their creative expressions through written poem, spoken word, or a painting to demonstrate personal interpretations of Black Excellence / Black History.

Family Zumba

An educational show providing an amazing opportunity to see a baby fox, winter owl and other winter animals.
7 p.m. – NorthFIRE Circus and Dr. Draw
An amazing 45-minute show with NorthFIRE Circus and the wonderfully talented Dr. Draw on electric violin. You will not want to miss this beautiful show with choreographed fire dance and led show, with special guest Acotesounds on the drums. This will be a Family Day you won’t forget!

Family Paint Trivia Night
Aurora’s Arctic Adventure Virtual Family Paint Trivia Night is a virtual experience using Zoom. You will get to paint your own masterpiece while being led by an art instructor while in the comfort of your home. This class will be led through Zoom. You will need to supply a canvas, some brushes and paint. The supplies can all be purchased from a local dollar store.
