Why did you make YR home? The lake and the proximity to Toronto. Also, the people are great
What do you do for fun in YR? Enjoy the outdoors.
What is one summer/winter event that you never miss in YR? We are here all year round. Hoping that ClearWater Farm events will add to both “with nature” and “with the arts” things to do summer and winter
What are your favourite restaurants in YR? Tatlows, the Corner House, The Beach
What YR attractions/events/happenings would you recommend to friends who visit YR? Enjoy the forests, bike trails, the growing number of local food farms including ClearWater.
Bio: Annabel Slaight, C.M., O.Ont, is Founding Chair of the Ontario Water Centre and its flagship initiative, ClearWater Farm. She is past chair of Shaw Communications’ Rocket Fund and co-founder and president of the OWL Children’s Trust. She was co-founder of Ladies of the Lake, and a provincial appointee to the formative Lake Simcoe Coordinating Committee. She holds the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario for nurturing a passion for science and nature among generations of Canadian children.
