How long have you lived in YR? Since Nov. 2021
Why did you make YR home? We were part of the mass exodus from Toronto during the pandemic, we wanted a less crowded, family focused home with more space, closer to family that lives in Aurora.
What do you do for fun in YR? Right now tobogganing with our young son, but we also love the hiking trails, restaurants, modern playgrounds and great events put on by the Town of Aurora.
What is one summer/winter event that you never miss in YR? We are still pretty new here but we really enjoyed the outdoor concerts this summers.
What are your favourite restaurants in YR? Ah Shucks (if we have a babysitter) and State and Main. And we are very sad that Greystones closed.
What YR attractions/events/happenings would you recommend to friends who visit YR? This is a hard one as we recommend everything about York Region – so happy we moved here. The parks, the community centres, the ton of events that are put on – it’s a great place to live.
Bio: Arwynn is an established graphic designer pursuing her other true love – painting. Her work focuses on nature and moments of joy, hope, tranquility and peace, reacting to the strong need for these moments in life. In her work there is a moment where the joy and calm is captured, whether it is fluff caught in the wind or a perfect sunrise.
