Market Brewing in Newmarket thinks so.
They’ve tried it all – from live music and comedy to craft nights and trivia nights – and the brewery on Leslie Street is always game for fun. As of this Thursday (Sept. 1) they’ll be barking out the numbers and dishing out the daubers as they introduce Market Bingo at 7 p.m.
Market Brewing has obtained a Class C Bingo License which will allow them to run Market Bingo! Thursdays at 7pm. With local food trucks on site, these nights will give folks a chance to win prizes and money while enjoying Market Brewing beers and other beverages. A portion of the money to play bingo will be given to various local charities. Each month a different charity will be supported..
To coincide with Market Bingo, the brewery is releasing a new beer – Goliath Cold Pale Ale!
A cold pale ale is a balance between a lager and a pale ale. We ferment this pale ale colder for a crisper finish, and dry hop for citrus, apricot, and floral notes. We then use a cold lagering process to further clean this winner up.
And no, the brewery is not becoming a full-fledged bingo hall, just running one Bingo night per week for a couple hours while keeping the rest of their fun events intact.
Market Bingo! will be live hosted and bring a fun and different environment from what people are used to when it comes to a traditional bingo hall.
The crowd will be interacting with the host while music plays and people get a chance to win some big payouts while helping local charities. Guests can enjoy a pint and a bite while playing five rounds of bingo.
