The Latcham Art Centre is excited to open submissions for their 2024 Annual Juried Exhibition!
LAC invites artists to submit up to two recent works (completed in 2022-24) in any medium.
Details:
- Images of submitted artwork will not be accepted online. All artwork must be dropped off in-person at Latcham Art Centre on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, between 10 AM and 8 PM to be eligible for jurying.
- A non-refundable fee of $25 + HST per artist must accompany each application, payable online or in-person.
Submission Options:
- Option 1: Pre-register by filling out the submission form on the LAC website and paying the non-refundable fee of $25 + HST online, prompted on the next page. Drop off your artwork on the Artwork Drop-Off Date (Tuesday, March 19, between 10 AM and 8 PM).
- Option 2: Fill out a submission form in-person and pay the non-refundable fee of $25 + HST in-person when you arrive to drop off your artwork on the Artwork Drop-Off Date (Tuesday, March 19, between 10 AM and 8 PM).
About the Annual Juried Exhibition:
This year, the Annual Juried Exhibition runs from Monday, March 25 to Saturday, April 27, 2024. $1,000 in Juror’s Awards will be presented at the opening reception on Monday, March 25, beginning at 7:00 PM. An honorarium will be paid to all other artists included in the exhibition after the show closes.
Submitted artworks will be considered and selected by an esteemed panel of three art professionals. The jurors consider each submitted artwork through a blind review: artists’ names and identifying information is not included in the jurying process. Each year, a new panel of three art professionals are invited to jury submissions, to ensure a fair selection of work. Latcham Art Centre staff are not involved in the jurying process.
As we continue to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Art Centre, we would like to make note of the harmful impacts of cultural appropriation. All artists are to be respectful of other cultures and copyright law. Artists with artwork that constitute cultural appropriation will not be accepted. This may also impact eligibility for future application.
The jury’s decision is final.

AJE 2024 IMPORTANT DATES

• Online Payment Portal Closes: Monday, March 18, at 5 PM
• Artwork Drop-Off Date: Tuesday, March 19, between 10 AM and 8 PM
• Successful Artists Notified: Wednesday, March 20, by 6 PM, via email and published on latchamartcentre.ca
• Unselected Artwork Pick-Up Day: Thursday, March 21, between 10 AM and 8 PM. All unsuccessful artworks must be picked up by 8 PM. Artists who fail to retrieve their work or fail to coordinate alternate pick-up times may be prohibited from applying in the future, and their work will be subject to disposal.
• AJE 2024 Opening Reception: Monday, March 25, from 7 PM to 9 PM
• Exhibition Run: Monday, March 25 to Saturday, April 27
