The Artists’ Circle will feature keynote speaker Kevin Ormsby, above. Kevin is the Artistic Director of KasheDance and Program Manager at Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario (CPAMO), where he delivers, presents as well as curates EDI programming for artists and organizations clients include the National Ballet of Canada, Canada’s National Ballet School and Luminato Festival. Other notable artists joining the event are, below, from left: Alex Karolyi of ShadowPath Theatre, York Region Arts Award winner Aali Badihi, York Region Arts Award winner Selina Yung and Artists’ Circle facilitator Jan Beaver, Alderville First Nation (Anishinaabe).
The York Region Arts Council is excited to host The Artists’ Circle in partnership with King Heritage and Cultural Centre tomorrow, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Artists’ Circle promises to be a fun evening featuring performances and exhibitions by the 2022 York Region Art Award nominees, guest speakers, wine tastings, a virtual silent auction and much more.
The Artists’ Circle is open to the public and will be an exciting networking and social event for YRAC members, local artists, arts organizations, and tourism stakeholders from around the region!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Kevin Ormsby, CPAMO Program Manager & Artistic Director of Kashedance on the “ART OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT”
DRIVING – There is lots of free parking available on site!
WINE TASTING – FREE wine tasting will be provided by the Holland Marsh Winery. Wine served by the glass will be available for $5.
FOOD – Food will be provided by Pimento Jerk Jamaican Food Truck!
ADMISSION – General admission is free for current YRAC members.

VIRTUAL SILENT AUCTION – YRAC is hosting a virtual silent auction in support of YRAC’s Artistic Programming! All funds raised will go to support the York Region Art Council’s important key programming initiatives including Local Pairings, the York Region Art Awards, YRAC Membership Program, The Experience Trail, and Experience York Region.
