Visual artist Aitak Sorahitalab, above left, and multi-disciplinary artists Naghmeh Ghasemzadeh, were selected from an RFP in May to be commissioned by YRAC and the Sharon Temple to create the image for a large 12′ x 6′ community building MURAL for a special event on CANADA DAY at the Sharon Temple.
The original design will be printed in black and white and visitors will be invited to add colour to the mural throughout the day as part of the Community Canada Day events on site at the Sharon Temple on CANADA DAY, July 1st.
The mural will be displayed at the Sharon Temple and become a moving community art piece around East Gwillimbury throughout the year.
